This is the second video of the Free and Open Indo-Pacific, which I was invited to talk about by former Kyoto Prefecture councillor, Shinji Ninoyu.
There is the threat of China, but before that, I talked about the significance of having a vast EEZ that a small country cannot manage or develop by itself. Analysis was presented not only from the perspective of an EEZ that is thousands of times larger than an area of land, but also in terms of the ratio of population and GDP.
and..
*The background to the choice of not policing it.
* The unmanageable mega marine reserves that set up trust funds.
* Palau was inevitably having to sign a marine stewardship agreement with Sea Shepherd. How did I prevent that from happening?
He is indeed a politician. Ninoyu's response was outstanding and the dialogue format was easy to talk about.
